Best camper regions

Mavrovo National park

Mavrovo national park is very beautiful and has a lot to offer. It’s a stunning drive to the village of Galichnik village, from where you can do a hike to the mountain peak Pico Medenica or Pico Govedarnik. Other highlights are Mount Korab, Lokuv Glacier Lake or Waterfall DUF.

This campspot on the lake is a must see if you like to be surrounded by many other campers. Expect many locals with BBQ’s in summer and, unfortunately, some waste from that. Fun is garuanteed on this spot.

If you are doing the hike to Mount Korab this is the best spot to park. It is next to a refreshing river and close to a drinking water source.

Lake Ohrid

When you don’t have a coastline you have to make a riviera from your biggest lake. That’s what the Macedonians did with lake Ohrid. The place where the whole country seems to go to for some sunbathing, scuba diving or boat trips.

The lake is surrounded by some great mountains, ideal to escape the riviera hassle! It has some great views on the lake and it is a beautiful drive up.
